Yesterday was a Saturday and it included some retial therapy at the closest mall to the West side of our City. Although San Francisco Real Estate requires a real devotion of time and energy, I got lucky and took a moment to “get a little early holiday shopping in”.
Convenient to West Portal, St. Francis Woods, Lake Merced, The Sunset, Forest Knolls and Twin Peaks. Stonestown Shopping Mall is located on 19th Avenue near UCSF and the entrance to the 280 FWY. Besides the traditional shops like Macy’s, Victoria’s Secret, Williams-Sonoma, L’Occitane, Godiva Chocolate, See’s Candies and more, there are several restaurants outside of the food court, Chevy’s and Olive Garden (both great for kids). The food court has wonderful choices, its’ true, like Sushi, a juice bar and so forth. Trader Joes is located in front of Nordstrom with street access and plenty of parking too.
My favorite store in the mall is Nordstrom. Since this isn’t the downtown store, its’ a little smaller and a bit more intimate. The sales persons have mostly been there for years and greet you by name. Nordstrom is known for their customer service and in my case, is the chief reason I shop there frequently. I too have made my San Francisoc Luxury real estate business model around customer service and so have an appreciation for being the focus of a professional who does her/his job so well.
Shout out to Kat and Lisa in the Accsessories department for their help in selecting which sunglass I should wear for my annual beach holiday. They pulled out the brand new “Gucci” sunglass claiming, “You will be the first one to purchase this glass, we haven’t brought it out yet. It really was the best frame for my face and a great looking sunglass. The girls made shopping for accessories fun…need I go into what else was purchased in their department!
Look for Maria Sarkissian in the Lingerie department, she will guide you to all of the latest and nicest lounge wear and underclothing with gentle guidance making you tremendously comfortable, plus Maria has a keen sense of taste that is chic and au current! I especially enjoyed Maria’s assistance and Thanks to her guidance, found plenty of lounge wear so that I can dress chicly at home as well as for the office!
There is plenty of parking around the mall, at the front and the rear. Behind the mall is a movie theater too, and on Sundays’ a farmers market in the morning. A few blocks away are several wonderful restaurants on Ocean and Avenue and West Portal if you are looking for a bite after a long day of shopping. Last nite, we went to India Clay Oven – which is particularly delicious and conveniently located near the corner of West Portal and 15th Avenue!
